I am grateful and fortunate to share my life with Belton, my wonderful husband of 10 years, two adult children that would make any parent proud and three sweet, somewhat rambunctious dogs, two of which came to us from a rescue center. So, while they’re working and running around like mad (both Belton and the dogs), I’ve successfully sold real estate. Doubling up for the last seven years, I have also worked as a representative with NuSkin, a great company with excellent personal care remedies that make my skin look younger, as well as other products that have transformed my health and wellbeing.
But, like all of us, blessed as my life is, it has not been perfect. I have been living with severe Rheumatoid Arthritis for over 21 years. When Doctors told me, “You’re going to end up in a wheel chair.” The fighter in me resolved to prove them wrong. So far, they have been. While I haven’t exactly discovered the cure, I continue to seek ways to improve my health. Living life to the fullest has been achieved by healthy eating, meditation & yoga and offering cooking classes year-long to raise funds for Nourish the Children, and ALCREJ- raising funds for under privileged children’s Christmas gifts. I am grateful to say that living with a disease doesn’t have to define us!
To improve our health; around four years ago, my husband and I decided to eat more plant-based foods and became Vegetarians. (I now eat mostly Vegan with a few exceptions.) We did this by making small changes to our everyday meals and slowly increased the amount of plant-based foods in our diet. Changing one product at a time by swapping cow’s milk for almond milk, and butter for coconut oil or vegan butter. There’s a plant-based alternative for almost every type of food you can think of, so you don’t have to miss out on any of your favorite foods. My web site was developed after many of our friends began acknowledging a noticeable increase in our energy level, our visible slimming down and inquired about recipes and cooking advice. I am delighted to now share my recipes, and a few pharmaceutical supplements that actually work!
